A select stretch of San Francisco’s BART track has had WiFi Rail installed, providing riders with 15 Mbps up and down. With a successful trial the company hopes to get its system installed on rail systems across the globe. For those with lengthy train commutes I see this as a seriously good thing. If the service is reliable enough, commuters can spend the time to and from the office actually doing work. Maybe this will shrink the work day back to a somewhat normal length.
