Fast Company has “canvassed the experts, analyzed the products, and crunched the numbers” to determine the top 50 most innovative companies in the world. Google tops the list with Apple in the number 2 spot and Facebook running in third.

I won’t disagree with Google and Apple, but there is no way Facebook is the third most innovative company in the world. Microsoft is more innovative than Facebook and Microsoft hasn’t created anything great in years! Facebook has outranked GE on Fast Company’s list… GE has some pretty huge breakthroughs in innovation like reducing train locomotive emissions by 50% and reducing radiation exposure from CT scanners by half.

But, no, Fast Company thinks that Facebook is more innovative. You know, that Beacon advertising program that Facebook did was pretty innovative… sharing information with all kinds of people and ruining surprises and what not. But hey, Facebook is valued at $15 billion merely based on what Microsoft spent to buy a portion of the company.
